History of Bourbon Seminar

Are you interested in learning about the history of bourbon? Do you want to hold your own on Trivia Pursuit Bourbon Knowledge? Or maybe you just want to be sure you know what you’re talking about when it comes to selecting the perfect type and age of whiskey. If so, step away from our bands for an hour and enjoy this seminar with our local bourbon expert…but get here early because seating is limited to the first 40 guests.


On Friday we offer 2 Tasting Seminars. These are the BEST DEAL IN BOURBON! Looking for more than a tasting? On Friday we also offer a sit-down Bourbon Pairing Dining Experience. Enjoy this Happy Hour inspired event while you sip 4 different varieties of Bourbons paired with Bacon items from the top local chefs. We are bringing together the chefs from Hudson Waterway East, Caffe Luna Rosa, DaDa, and 50 Ocean to deliver a meal of bacon and pork creations that perfectly pair with these selected bourbons. Pappy Van Winkle Friday Tasting Experience

Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve is the flagship brand of bourbon whiskey owned by the “Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery” company. Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve is often regarded as one of the finest bourbons in the world, and is rare to find on the market due to its very low production and high demand. One of the only ways to get your hands on this bourbon is through a lottery in which people enter for the chance to purchase a bottle of this bourbon, which proceed to sell on the open market for nearly $2,000. However, Bourbon Lovers, if you are lucky enough to score a seat to our Pappy Van Winkle Tasting experience you get to enjoy 5 tastes of this Bourbon with selected pairings from The Rebel House Chef. Join us on the Loggia as we serve all the delicious delicacies you would enjoy from the finest local brunches…but add to that Bourbon to wash it down! This long-table format allows you to sit with friends or make new ones, while you enjoy bacon and breakfast fixin’s until your hearts content! In addition to bourbon samples you are not going to want to miss our Bourbon Bloody Mary Bar, a huge return hit from 2015! Bacon & Bourbon Dining Experience
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

The premier dining experience of Bacon & Bourbon Fest is our Saturday night dining experience. Limited to only 70 guests, this dining experience presents a giant table under the Old School Square Loggia where you can feast on a meal completely made to perfectly complement the variety of bourbon selections. Don’t care for bourbon (is that possible) – no worries, we will also serve beer and wine at this dining setting.  You will also get to take home one of our etched commemorative glasses.
